The judges were impressed by the relationship between open space, living areas and circulation heirarchy, not only within the overall masterplan but also in respect of its connections to regional open space and cycle ways.
It is a highly permeable layout which promotes easy access within the estate including laneways, the encouragement of sustainable lifestyles through walking connections to open space, and particular attention to the estate.
